chronology of ibo and there response to arrival/settlement of english

The interactions between the Ibo and the English man are very strenuous at best. I think that they could have gotten along much better if they had tried to learn each others cultures.
The Englishmen though of the Ibo as savages and nothing more. they used them to generate profit and to help in the colonization of Nigeria. They say that everything that the Ibo say about religion and how to live your life is wrong because they are heathens. They disapprove of the Ibos way of life in most ways, such as they killing of twins and the sacrificing to the gods. The attitudes of the Englishmen greatly affects there treatment of the natives. They treat them like there dirt and like they do not know anything.
The Ibo think that the Englishmen are very foolish. They do not understand the idea of the holy trinity, and they think that there ways of not beating children and wives is just weird. They do not like the English justice system, especially the jail. They do not understand the idea of jail because they do not have anything like it. They think that you should be fined and then get back to your work instead of wasting away in a cell. Lastly, they do not like the idea of monogamy. They think that a man deserves many wives instead of just one.
